FAQ

SKINCARE FAQ

1. Will the Rose Glow Elixir face oil clog pores and make my face oiler?

Face oils will not clog pores. On the contrary, when chosen for the correct skin type, the right face oil can be helpful for a variety of skin conditions like acne.

Our Rose Glow Elixir uses certified organic jojoba oil as the main carrier oil. Jojoba oil is an excellent non-comedogenic oil for acne prone skin. It hydrates the skin, balances natural oil production, delivers antioxidant protection, has anti-inflammatory effects, may have some antibacterial properties, and can also help reduce acne.

Our Rose Glow Elixir also contains rose hip seed and sea buckthorn extracts using C02 supercritical extraction. These create a balance of linoleic acid and oleic acid which are important fatty acids for balanced healthy skin,

Lastly, our hero ingredient - gluten free oat lipid oil - a powerful antioxidant plant oil that replaces lost skin ceramides, non-comedogenic and studies showed it offers statistically-significant reduction reduce papules, blackheads and lesions.

This amazing blend if plant oils not only moisturises your skin, it delivers a potent dose of fatty acids, antioxidants and ceramides, giving you healthy glowy skin!

2. Can I skip my moisturiser and only use Rose Glow Elixir instead?

Yes you can skip your moisturiser as our Rose Glow Elixir acts as a natural moisturiser and protective barrier.

Tip: Mix 1 drop of Rose Glow Elixir with a pea-size tinted moisturiser/liquid foundation of your choice. Blend them together on your palms and apply on face for an ethereal glow!

3. Do I apply Rose Glow Elixir before or after serum/moisturiser?

To ensure maximum absorption of the benefits of Rose Glow Elixir, it is better to a apply before serum/moisturiser, after toner. This is because some moisturisers contain silicones, which may hinder the absorption of the Rose Glow Elixir.

Feel free to be creative and try out our Rose Glow Elixir after your moisturiser, or mix it up with your moisturiser and apply together. Have fun and don't be afraid to try out skincare routines that suits you.

4. How many drops of Rose Glow Elixir should I use?

If you are new to face oils, use 2-3 drops for a start. Keep your skincare routine minimal to let your skin get used to the goodness of plant oils.

Generally, anywhere between 3 - 5 drops would do wonders as Rose Glow Elixir is a concentrated oil packed with vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids. 3 drops work well for day and 5 drops is excellent as a night time booster.

5. Is Rose Glow Elixir safe for pregnant and nursing moms?

Yes. Our Rose Glow Elixir is formulated to be safe for pregnant and nursing moms. It's free of harmful chemicals or essential oils to ensure safety.

6. Would you recommend the best way to incorporate Rose Glow Elixir into a skincare routine?

A quick simple skincare routine after cleaning your face will be:

Step 1: Face toner / mist (We recommend our Wild Lavender Hydrosol)

Step 2: (optional) Apply a water based serum of your choice

Step 2: Put 3 - 5 drops of Rose Glow Elixir on your palms, warm them up and gently pat them into your face.

Step 3: (optional) Apply your moisturiser of your choice

Step 4: (this applies for day time) Apply your sunscreen.

7. Which Glacial Clay Mask would you recommend for different skin types?

Our Southern Alp Glacial Clay with Norwegian Kelp & Lavandin is great for oily, sensitive, dull skin. It works as a natural physical exfoliant mask for all skin types as well.

If you have mature, dry, sensitive skin in need of a detox, our Glacial Clay with Colloidal Oat will help pull out toxins in your skin while delivering a dose of hydration.

8. Why is your Glacial Clay masks in powder form?

Pre-mixed clay masks in the market are loaded with strong preservatives. This is because clay is notoriously hard to preserve in a pre-mixed formula. The actives in the clay also decreases overtime because once water is added to it, the ions in the clay activates. Overtime, the efficiency decreases.

Powder clay masks ensures your mask is 100% preservative free. It can also be customised to suit your skin needs by adding water, hydrosols, honey or yogurt depending on your skin needs in different cycles of the month. The efficiency of your mask is ensured to be at it's best until your last scoop!

BABY SKINCARE FAQ

1. My baby suffers from mild eczema and I am looking for a natural alternative to steroids. Which product(s) would you recommend?

Our Eczema Relief Bundle Set consists of our core hero baby skincare products - Colloidal Oat Bathsoak and Baby Balm. This duo helps sooth, hydrate, moisturise and replace lost skin ceramides which helps prevent eczema. As with all natural products, this will not give immediate results as compared to steroids. But with consistent use, together with taking steps to eliminate potential triggers at home (switch to clean detergent, cleaning products), watching baby's diet or mama's diet if breastfeeding, most baby eczemas can be reduced over time.

2. Can the Baby Massage Oil be used as a daily moisturiser?

Yes our Baby Massage Oil is a great lightweight oil-based daily moisturiser. Best part? You can use it on baby's hair, face and body as it contains only two natural ingredients - organic jojoba oil and oat lipid oil.

3. How many ways can I use the Baby Balm with Active Oat Lipids and Calendula?

Our Baby Balm is formulated to be multitasking. You can use it to:

  • soothe mild diaper rashes and protect baby's bum bum

  • soften cradle caps on scalp and eyebrows

  • moisturise dry flaky skin

  • soothe, moisturise and protect mild eczema

  • soothe rashes on the entire body

  • soothe minor cuts and insect bites on newborns. For babies over 3 months old, I recommend the Boo Boo Balm for insect bites and minor cuts & bruises.

  • soothe adult eczema

  • soothe sore, cracked Mama's nipples

  • moisturise dry lips

4. The Colloidal Oat Bath Soak tends to get lumpy when I add water. How can I fix this issue?

It takes a little stirring to dissolve our colloidal oat powder in water. I find that using the water pressure from the shower head helps to break up the powder faster. Do check out our IGTV on a quick guide on how to use our colloidal oat bath soak.

PREGNANT / NURSING MOMS SKINCARE FAQ

1. When is the best time to start using anti stretch mark tummy oil?

The best time to start apply stretch mark oil is the moment you find out you are pregnant. The skin will start to stretch, causing tears in the skin structure, resulting in itchiness and later on, stretch marks. Apply a tummy oil twice a day will ensure your skin is kept moisturised and skin lipids restored. Oils like sea buckthorn are known to increase skin elasticity, hence reducing the chance of stretch marks.

2. Can I use the Baby Balm with Active Oat Lipids and Calendula as a nipple balm?

Definitely! Our Baby Balm can be used to soothe and heal cracked sore nipples. I usually recommend to apply a thin layer right after feeding or pumping so you won't have to wipe off for the next feed.

If there's any residue right before you begin feeding/pumping, its better to wipe off as even for food grade ingredients, it's better for mommy's milk to remain uncontaminated to prevent any possible allergies.
